  • That's all. Another game and another night where Hyderabad managed to defend a total. They stay on the top and are going from strength to strength under their new skipper. On the other hand, Bangalore once again came in with so much of promise but faltered just like every season. Anyway, life has to move on and Indian T20 League cycle will now move to Sawai Mansingh Stadium on Tuesday which will see Rajasthan hosting Punjab. Do join us at 2000 Local (1430 GMT) for all the action. Until then, goodbye and cheers!
  • Man of the Match goes to Kane Williamson for his brilliant knock of 56 from 39 balls on a tough pitch to bat on. He scored his fifth half century of the season and anchored the innings to make sure he gives something to his bowlers to bowl at.
  • Siddarth Kaul and Bhuvneshwar Kumar through their perfect execution hit proper lengths, took the pace off cunningly and defended down to the total with relative ease which saw their team winning their fifth game on the trot and becoming the first team to bag 16 points and almost sealing the berth to playoffs. As far as Bangalore are concerned, this dismal show should give you a perfect picture about how their season was. They are just not able to step up and with this loss they are all but out of the tournament one would feel.
  • Bangalore had their noses in front as they had some luck going their way. But.... An exceptional catch from Yusuf Pathan saw the back of Virat Kohli and then Rashid Khan sent the big fish, AB de Villiers back as well to tilt the game back in their favor. Those two wickets gave Hyderabad supreme control over the game. It seemed like this would lead to a procession but Mandeep Singh and Colin de Grandhomme didn't give up. They fought hard and the Kiwi's blitz in Rashid's last over once again turned the game as the equation came down to 25 from 18 balls.
  • The Orange Army, take a bow! They are truly the 'Masters of Defense'! Yet again they have come out victorious while defending a total and boy, they are making it a habit. Incredible stuff! Riding on Kane Williamson's 50 and his 64-run stand with Shakib, Hyderabad crawled their way to 146 somehow. The wicket was sticky which meant that the hosts wouldn't have been ruled out at all. When the chase began, Bangalore openers got them off to a good start. Patel departed but Kohli came out all guns blazing and started to attack from the word go. They were going pretty well and had the run rate well under control.
  • 19.6OUT! HYDERABAD HAVE WON IT BY 5 RUNS! Just how do you hit those over the fence? Just, how? Take a bow, Kumar. An exceptional penultimate over has been followed by an even better last over by one of the best death bowlers going around. A yorker to end everything and it is outside off. De Grandhomme walks across and tries to flick but he only manages to get a thick inside edge onto his stumps.
  • 6 needed from 1 ball. Can Colin de Grandhomme strike a maximum? Here comes Bhuvi running in...
  • 19.5So they need a biggie from the last ball as there is only a run from this ball. This is outstanding stuff from Bhuvneshwar Kumar. A lot of people will be expecting for him to go for the slower one but he bowls a seam up ball on the pads. Mandeep goes for the flick but it hits the pad and goes towards point. The batsmen run a leg bye.
  • 19.4Another single! This is exceptional bowling by Kumar. He bowls a yorker again on middle, Colin whips it down to long on. They should run two but no, they only take on. 7 from 2.
  • 19.3Goes for the smart option as he tries to paddle scoop Bhuvi over short fine leg. However, Bhuvneshwar is right upto the mark as he bowls the slower one outside off. Mandeep has no pace to work with and he finds that fielder. Only a run.
  • 19.2A brace this time. Low full toss on middle, Mandeep hits it down to long on. The complete one, Colin wants a second and they go for it and complete it. Not sure if that was the right idea by Colin to go for the second. 9 needed from 4.
  • 19.1A brilliant delivery to start with. A yorker on middle, Colin hits it down to long on, only for a run. Singles won't do it for Bangalore.
  • 12 needed from 6. It will be the death over specialist Bhuvneshwar who will bowl the final over.
  • 18.6Yes, he does! Perfect yorker, Colin could only jam it out towards the off side. Just 7 from the 19th over. 135/5
  • 18.5Superb ball again! Fuller and angling back in, almost a yorker, Singh makes room to hit it away but gets an inside edge towards short third man. Another single. Can he finish it well?
  • 18.4Fuller ball, driven hard but straight to Williamson at extra cover. Only a single. What an over this is turning out to be.
  • 18.3Safe and truly in! Back of a length delivery outside off, Mandeep bottom edges his attempted cut shot behind the keeper and Colin asks him to cross. Saha underarms a throw at the striker's end and hits it as the batsman drags his bat in. It's referred upstairs and replays fine the Kiwi safe.
  • Run out appeal against de Grandhomme. He seems to be home though.
  • 18.2In the air... safe! Short and outside off, Singh slaps it over covers. Rashid at sweeper overruns but then does well to stick his left hand out and stop it. They take a couple.
  • 18.1Fuller in length and angling in, dragged off the inner half to deep mid-wicket. A single to start the over.
  • Siddarth Kaul to bowl the penultimate over. Bhuvi is seen having a chat with him. 19 needed from 12 balls. This over will decide the game!
  • 17.6So just 6 from the over even though he had gone for a boundary. A full toss on middle, de Grandhomme hits it down to long on for a run. 128/5
  • 17.5Just five from the over so far as there is another dot. The idea was not wrong by Colin but the execution was not quite there. On a length around off, Colin tries to pierce the gap between backward point and short third man but finds the fielder at the former position.
  • 17.4Another swing but Colin only connects with thin air. Outside off the slower ball. Colin goes for the cut but misses.
  • 17.3FOUR! Fortune is favoring Bangalore here! This is an excellent delivery. A yorker on off. Colin tries to jam it out but gets a bottoem edge past the keeper for a boundary. 20 from 15.
  • 17.2A dot! The leg cutter this time outside off. Colin swings but does not connect.
  • 17.1Good length and outside off, Madeep does the smart thing by turning the strike over to his partner Coil who is striking the ball really well.
  • Bhuvneshwar Kumar is back on.
  • 16.6Sees off Rashid as he bunts it back. 14 off Rashid's final over and the equation comes down to 25 from 18 balls. 122/5
  • 16.6Wide! Googly down leg, Colin fails to flick it away.
  • 16.5Not out! Colin de Grandhomme has managed to drag his feet behind. Tossed up, fuller around off, de Grandhomme tries to hit it away but the ball spins past the outside edge and he loses his balance. Saha behind the stumps takes the bails off and appeals. It's referred upstairs and after a few replays, the TV umpire feels Colin's back leg is well in. It did go up but the Kiwi has done well to drag it back in time.
  • And there you go. There is a stumping appeal against de Grandhomme. Seems like he is struggling here. Big moment in the game again.
  • And there you go. There is a stumping appeal against de Grandhomme. Seems like he is struggling here. Big moment in the game again.
  • 16.4Now bowls a leg break, it turns away, Colin can't put bat on ball.
  • 16.3SIX! Back-to-back maximums and Bangalore have come alive. Tossed up around middle and off, Colin sits down and slog sweeps this one. It sails over a leaping Dhawan at deep mid-wicket for another biggie. He is turning it on here.
  • 16.2SIX! Goodness me! That is brute force from the Kiwi! Googly again on the shorter side, Colin de Grandhomme stays put and whips it across the line. The ball dashes flush on the adverting cushion and it's a maximum. Wow.
  • 16.1Googly at some pace, Mandeep squirts it off the inner half through his legs for a single.
  • Rashid Khan to bowl his last over. 39 needed from 24 balls. Needless to say, they won't attack him at all.
  • 15.6Delivers a perfect slower delivery, deceives Singh who is early into his pull. The ball hits him on the body and rolls towards the right of the keeper behind. Superb stuff from Kaul, just 6 off it. 108/5
  • 15.5Very full outside off, drilled hard but finds Williamson at the edge of the circle near extra cover. Five singles from the over. Can he finish it well?
  • 15.4Angling back in on middle, Mandeep tucks it off the pads towards backward square leg and runs one more.
  • 15.3Chops this back of a length delivery towards cover and crosses over.
  • 15.2Eases this fuller delivery down in the same region for another single.
  • 15.1In the air... on the bounce. Colin hits it flat down the ground towards long on. Pandey comes running in but seems to have overrun. The adjusts and does well to stop it near his face. Just a single.
  • 14.6FOUR! He's hit that alright! Oh dear! Sloppiness from Kaul in the deep. Holds back to a slower length delivery and pulls it off the middle through mid-wicket. Kaul in the deep comes across to his left and lets the ball through his hands for a boundary. 9 off the over, a fruitful one for Bangalore. 102/5
  • 14.5Leading edge... Sticks a bit on the surface, Mandeep is early into the shot as the ball goes off the leading edge and just lands in front of Sandeep.
  • 14.4Slower delivery around middle, Colin de Grandhomme looks to tickle it away but gets an inside edge towards the left of the keeper for a single.
  • 14.3Angling in on middle, Mandeep Sharma works it down to long on for a single.
  • 14.2Good length ball outside off, punched a bit uppishly through mid off for one.
  • 14.1Back of a length delivery outside off, Colin slaps it through point and hares back for a couple. Rashid in the deep has to cover a lot of ground and he does well.
  • Sandeep Sharma to bowl his last over now.
  • 13.6Goes deep in the crease and flicks it through square leg for a single. 4-0-36-2 finishes Shakib. Well done! 93/5
  • 13.5Slows it through the air, de Grandhomme hits it back to the bowler.
  • 13.4Dropped short and skidding through the surface, pulled off the inner half behind square on the leg side for one.
  • 13.3Flattish outside off, a bit slower through the air, Colin looks to cut but gets it off the bottom edge towards cover for a single.
  • 13.2Flatter and quicker through the air, whipped away down to long on for a single.
  • 13.1Tossed up wider outside off, Mandeep lunges ahead and drives it square on the off side for a couple of runs.
  • Shakib Al Hasan to bowl out.
  • Final strategic break signaled! 60 needed from 42 balls and it's Hyderabad who have come roaring back. Bangalore are under the pump and would need someone to bail them out if they are to cross the line. It's advantage hosts at the moment.
  • 12.6Yes, he can. Just a single to end the over. 60 needed from the last 7. Short and on middle, Mandeep Singh pulls it through mid-wicket for a run. 87/5
  • 12.5Just a single from the first five balls. On a length around off. Singh keeps it out off the front foot. Can he finish it well here?
  • 12.4Excellent fielding! Hyderabad have their tails up here. This is pulled towards Pathan at mid-wicket. He dives to his right and makes a good stop. Another dot.
  • 12.3Length ball on off, Mandeep keeps it out.
  • 12.2In the air... but on the bounce! Almost four in the last four overs! This is on the pads, Colin flicks it uppishly towards deep square leg. The fielder there runs to his right and collects it on the bounce. A run taken.
  • 12.1Hits the length on off, Colin defends it onto the ground.
  • Sandeep Sharma is back on.
  • 11.6Works this one around the corner for a run. 85/5
  • 11.5Howzzzzat? The answer to that question is not out. A brilliant delivery to bowl to a batsman first up. An inswinging yorker on leg stump. Colin fails to jam it out and loses the balance. He is down on the floor and the Hyderabad players go up in an appeal but the umpire shakes his head. Going down leg probably.
  • Colin de Grandhomme is the new man in.
  • 11.4OUT! Another one bites the dust! Half the side back in the hut for Bangalore. What a turnaround this match has seen here. Three wickets in the last three overs. Another bowling change does the trick. The debutant's stay is a short one. This is on a length and around off, it angles away further. Moeen goes for the pull but the ball takes the bottom edge and goes into the mitts of Saha. He takes it and appeals. Kaul is seen pleading. The umpire gives it a thought and raises his finger. Ali starts to walk. Hyderabad are all over Bangalore here.
  • 11.3Good change in length! The bumper and Ali misses the pull.
  • 11.2Length ball on middle, Ali works it to the man at mid-wicket.
  • 11.1FOUR! Almost another! Inside edge! Kaul slants it away on a length outside off, Ali with no feet movement goes after it. Gets an inside edge as the ball just about evades the leg pole and scoots down to the fine leg fence for a streaky boundary.
  • Siddarth Kaul is back on.
  • 10.6This time Singh connects bat to ball and keeps it out. Five runs and a big wicket from this over. Surely the game-changing over. 80/4
  • 10.5BEATEN! The leg spinner this time on off. Singh lunges forward to defend but gets beaten. Almost another. Dream spell from Rashid!
  • Mandeep Singh is the next man in.
  • 10.4OUT! TIMBER! The two superstars for Bangalore are back in the hut in two overs. Once again it is the googly which does the trick. He survived a scare on the last ball but this time sees his stumps getting knocked over. Rashid gets his first but he could have had three by now. It is the wrong 'un outside off. It turns back in and once again ABD fails to pick it. He goes back to cut but gets a bottom edge which deflects onto the stumps. Bangalore in huge trouble now as we know how much dependent they are on Kohli and ABD. 67 runs needed from 56 balls.
  • 10.3Almost! Brilliant bowling! The googly on off, it comes back in sharply. De Villiers has no clue on which way the ball is spinning as he goes back to cut. He is beaten by the turn and the ball hits him on his body.
  • 10.2Cuts this towards point and gets to the other end.
  • 10.1FOUR! Edged and a boundary! Short and outside off, Ali goes for the cut but the ball takes the outside edge. Goes over the slip fielder and into the fence.
  • 9.6Goes for it straightaway by coming down the track and he whips it over mid-wicket for a run. Ali is off the mark. 75/3
  • Moeen Ali comes out to bat.
  • 9.5OUT! WHAT A CATCH! Yusuf Pathan, you beauty! Shakib gets the big fish. Once again the bowling change works wonders for Williamson. This is bowled flatter on off, Kohli tries to whip it through mid-wicket but gets an outside edge which lobs towards Pathan at short third man. For a second it seemed like it would go over him but he times his leap to perfection, stretches his right hand out and the ball sticks. Outstanding! Another dropped catch has not cost a lot and Kohli who was looking so fluent out there is walking back. Game on!
  • 9.4Taps this one towards point and wants a run but is sent back by his partner.
  • 9.3Tosses it up on off, ABD drives it through covers for a run.
  • 9.2Rocks back and turns it towards mid-wicket. Kohli wants to but has to settle down with one.
  • 9.1Shortish outside off, de Villiers cuts it through point for a run.
  • Shakib Al Hasan is back on.
  • Strategic break signaled!
  • 8.6It's been driven superbly through the covers. A dot to end another over in which Rashid could have had a wicket. 71/2
  • 8.5The googly outside off, de Villiers goes for the cut but gets a bottom edge towards point for a run.
  • 8.5NOT OUT! There was daylight between bat and ball. This one is short and down the leg side. De Villiers goes for the pull but he seems to have missed it. The keeper does well to take it down the leg side and appeals. The umpire though shakes his head and signals it a wide. Saha is pretty confident and wants to take it upstairs. Williamson signals the 'T'. Replays roll in and there is nothing on Snicko. ABD survives a scare and Hyderabad lose their only review.
  • Big moment in the game! There is an appeal for a caught behind down the leg side. Ab de Villiers is the man in question. Saha is very confident.
  • 8.4Taps this towards point for a run.
  • 8.3The batsman has driven that ball straight back.
  • 8.2DROPPED AND FOUR! Kohli has been dropped and it is his opposite number who has scuffed it. Has he dropped the game? The leg spinner on off, it turns away. Kohli tries to push it through the off side but gets an outside edge towards first slip. Williamson there gets low but only manages to get fingers to it as the ball goes through his legs and races away to the third man fence. Rashid now has two catches dropped off his bowling.
  • 8.1Flatter and on off, Kohli pushes it to covers.
  • 7.6Just short! The slowness of the wicket almost gets Hyderabad the big wicket. It is bowled on middle, it sticks on the surface. ABD checks his shot and the ball goes uppishly towards the bowler who dives in front but collects it on the bounce. End of another tight over for Hyderabad. It also produced a wicket for them. 64/2
  • 7.5Slower ball down the leg side, Kohli flicks it to fine leg for a run.
  • 7.4The batsman rocks onto the back foot and punches the ball. One run added to the total.
  • 7.3Walks down the track and eases it to long on for a run.
  • 7.2On middle, de Villiers works it through mid-wicket for a run.
  • AB de Villiers arrives next.
  • 7.1OUT! CHOPPED IT ON! Very unfortunate for Manan Vohra but Sandeep won't mind at all. He strikes off his first ball of his new spell. A much-needed wicket for Hyderabad. It is the slower one on the pads, Vohra shuffles across and goes for the slog sweep. The ball however, hits his gloves, then goes onto hit his pads, lobs up and hits the back of the bat and then rolls onto the stumps. Vohra can't believe it as he stands there in disbelief. He has to walk off though and the dropped catch has not cost the home side a lot. The visitors need another 87 in 77 balls.
  • Sandeep Sharma is back on.
  • 6.6The leg spinner on off, Kohli pushes it to covers. Just five from Rashid's first. They need more of such overs to put the pressure back on the visitors. 60/1
  • 6.5The batsman flicks it away with a wristy shot. Two runs added to the total.
  • 6.4The googly on the pads. Kohli goes for the pull but misses to get hit on the pads.
  • 6.3DROPPED! Kaul drops a sitter! This one is short and on middle, Vohra goes for the pull but does not connect properly. It goes high up in the air towards deep square leg. Kaul there runs to his left, gets two hands to it but can't hang on. They needed that to be taken. How costly will this prove? The batsmen take a run.
  • 6.2A little too fuller on off, Kohli lunges and eases it down to long off for a run.
  • 6.1Quicker on middle, Vohra works it through square leg and gets to the other end.
  • Rashid Khan is on.
  • 5.6A single to end an excellent Powerplay for Bangalore. They are 55 for the loss of one wicket and they need another 92 from 84. Vohra jams the yorker out towards mid on for a quick run. 55/1
  • 5.5Short and outside off, Kohli guides it down to third man for a run.
  • 5.4Slower ball on off, Kohli tries to force it through the off side but gets it off the inner half towards mid on.
  • 5.3Mana shuffles across now and tucks it towards mid-wicket for a run.
  • 5.2Good length on off, Kohli taps it towards point and gets to the other end. He now becomes the leading run-getter of the Indian T20 League with that single.
  • 5.1FOUR! Kohli is on the charge here! He is taking full toll of the Powerplay. Comes down the track to a length ball and whips it over the mid-wicket fielder for another boundary.
  • Siddarth Kaul is into the attack. He will bowl the last over of the Powerplay.
  • 4.615 from the over! Kohli works it towards mid on for a quick run. 100 more needed in 90 balls. 47/1
  • 4.5FOUR! Make that 14! Deft from Kohli. Flatter and outside off, Kohli waits for it and guides it through short third man for a boundary.
  • 4.4SIX! That has gone all the way! What a shot! Uses his feet to get to the pitch of the ball and tonks it straight back down the ground for a biggie. 10 from the last two deliveries.
  • 4.3FOUR! A half-tracker and Kohli pounces on it. He pulls it over mid-wicket and fetches himself a boundary.
  • 4.2Once again finds the man at short covers with a similar shot.
  • 4.1Loopy ball on off, Kohli drives it to short covers.
  • 3.6Now pushes this one towards wide mid off for another single. 7 from Kumar's second, he has not been upto the mark so far. 32/1
  • 3.5Drives this on the up but finds Hales at short covers.
  • 3.4Vohra does the same as he plays this with an angled bat down to third man and gives the strike over to Kohli.
  • 3.3Good batting! Now guides this length ball through gully and down to third man for a single.
  • 3.2FOUR! All timing this was! Full and on off, Kohli leans into it and strokes it through covers. Beats the two fielders who dived for it. One at short cover and the other at mid off for a boundary.
  • 3.1Kohli walks down the track and gets a length ball on middle and pushes it to mid on.
  • 2.6The batsman works it down the leg side. They pick up a single. 25/1
  • Virat Kohli is the next man in.
  • 2.5OUT! Shakib has the last laugh and the way he celebrated it shows how much that means to him. Hyderabad needed this. Shakib fires this one on middle. Parthiv once again goes for the sweep but this time he misses to get hit on the pads. The players appeal and the umpire after giving it a thought raises his finger. So a good little innings by Parthiv comes to an end. He has provided Bangalore with a start here.
  • 2.4FOUR! It is never a good idea to get a left-arm spinner against a left handed batsman and Parthiv is showing exactly why. Shakib tosses it up again on middle, Parthiv goes over mid on this time for a boundary. Consecutive ones.
  • 2.3FOUR! Nails the sweep this time. On middle, Parthiv goes down on one knee and sweeps it through mid-wicket for a boundary.
  • 2.2Flatter and outside off, Patel chops it to covers.
  • 2.1Goes for the sweep to the ball that comes in and gets a brace as it goes through square leg.
  • Shakib Al Hasan is into the attack.
  • 1.69 from Kumar's first and Bangalore are off to a good start. Parthiv hits this towards mid off and gets to the other end. 14/0
  • 1.5FOUR! Poor effort in the field! Parthiv walks down the track and gets a full ball outside off. He hits it towards mid on. The fielder there dives over the ball and then the ball races away. Second boundary from the over.
  • 1.4Good shot by finds the fielder! That was timed really well. Fuller on off, Parthiv slashes at it, gets it off the middle but to the fielder at cover-point.
  • 1.3Good length again on off, from around the wicket this time. Parthiv slaps it to covers.
  • 1.2This time bowls it a little too wide outside off, Parthiv cuts it to the man at point.
  • 1.1FOUR! Wrong line to start off with by Kumar. On the pads. It is bread and butter stuff for Parthiv there as he flicks it through square leg and the ball races away.
  • Bhuvneshwar Kumar to bowl from the other end. Will he get swing? Sandeep Sharma did not in the first over.
  • 0.6A good end to the over! Length on off, Vohra pushes it to covers. 5/0
  • 0.5Pulls the length back a little on off, Vohra pushes it to point.
  • 0.4In the air... but safe! A good shot but not off the middle. Fuller on off, Vohra lofts it over mid on. The connection was not sweet but enough to collect a brace.
  • 0.3Brings his wrists into play and whips it towards mid on. The batsmen set off for a run. The fielder there has a shy but misses. The southpaw is also off the mark now.
  • 0.2Shorter in length around off, Parthiv off the back foot punches it to covers.
  • 0.1Vohra is now off the mark as he taps this length ball towards point for a run.
  • 0.1WIDE! Not a good start as this one is down the leg side. The umpire signals it a wide. Bangalore have their first run on the board.
  • We are back for the chase. The total is not that big but Hyderabad do have a very good bowling attack. They make their way out to the middle. They are followed by a new opening pair for Bangalore, Manan Vohra and Parthiv Patel. Sandeep Sharma will open the bowling for Hyderabad. Here we go...
