  • Hyderabad, with this win, become the first team to book themselves a berth into the playoffs, while in contrast, Delhi crash out. Different fortunes for two good teams. Anyway, we continue on with the action. On the 11th of May, Chennai go on the road and take on Rajasthan in the city of Jaipur. The action begins at 2000 local (1430 GMT). Join in for that. Goodbye!
  • Shikhar Dhawan is the Man of the Match for this game. It could be argued that Rishabh Pant deserves it, but Dhawan's calm, yet aggressive unbeaten 92 off 50 got his team over the line and into the playoffs.
  • What was so special about this partnership from Dhawan and Williamson was how they kept rotating the strike. The boundaries came, yes, but the constant rotation disallowed the Delhi bowlers to settle, which put pressure on the fielders and the runs started to flow rather easily with each passing over. A true batting masterclass from a talented batting pair. A mention to young Pant. Wins and losses are important, but sometimes you have to credit a great knock when you see it, no matter who you support. He'll feel hard done, but can take heart from this for sure.
  • Kane Williamson wanted his team to show why they are at the top of the table. The bowling had been saving the day till now, but tonight, the batting showed up and did they show up! A 9-wicket victory... are any more words needed? Don't let it fool you, the task wasn't nearly as easy as it looked. Rishabh Pant's stupendous ton in the first innings powered Delhi to 187, but Shikhar Dhawan and Kane Williamson finished things all on their own. The early wicket of Hales didn't faze them at all as they mounted a 176-run stand to get their team over the line with more than an over to spare.
  • 18.5FOUR! And there it is! The winning runs come off the skipper's bat. Rightly so, he's been phenomenal again. Around the wicket, full toss on middle and off, Kane Williamson whips this over mid-wicket with supreme elegance and finishing things off with a boundary. HYDERABAD WIN BY 9 WICKETS!
  • 18.4Fuller and angling in, from over the wicket, lofted over square leg. One run taken. Scores are level now.
  • 18.3FOUR! Short ball, Dhawan slaps the pull through mid-wicket, all the way to the boundary line. He moves into the 90s, but there are just two runs left to win.
  • 18.2Full outside off, angling in from around the wicket, Williamson crouches low and opens the face to squeeze it just wide of short third man for a single.
  • 18.1Speared in full from Boult, in line of the stumps, driven through mid on. One run taken.
  • Trent Boult back on.
  • 17.6FOUR! Too full in length, overpitched really and he is punished. Williamson makes room and drills it through the left of the diving mid off fielder for a boundary. Just 8 to win off 12. 180/1
  • 17.5Down the ground again, one more run.
  • 17.4Oh! That's not a no ball. Surprising, Williamson wonders what's going on. High full toss on the stumps, Kane whacks it down to long on for a single.
  • 17.3Comes ahead and pushes it to long off for one.
  • 17.2Down the leg side, shorter in length, a controlled pull from Dhawan through backward square leg for a double.
  • 17.1Fraction straight in line, flicked in front of square on the leg side for a single.

  • 16.4The batsman gets an inside edge and the ball hits him on the pads. The batsmen have run through for a single.
  • 16.3FOUR! Full and wide, no second invitation needed for Dhawan to slap that through the covers. Beats the man in the deep and finds the fence. The 150-run stand comes up.
  • 16.2Back of a length close to off, Dhawan skips down and looks to play across the line, but gets it off the inside edge behind. Pant does well to move to his right and stop that.
  • 16.1Full delivery just outside off, Dhawan smacks it straight back to the bowler.
  • Harshal Patel brought back into the bowling attack.
  • Strategic break.
  • 15.6Short of a good length outside off, dabbed square on the off side for a single. Run a ball now, 24 off 24. 164/1

  • 15.4SIX! Short ball into the body, Williamson pulls it over fine leg. It cannons into the boundary rope and that's a biggie. The umpire just checks upstairs to confirm, it is a biggie. Kane had taken the back seat till now as Dhawan was firing away, but now he too joins in on the action.
  • 15.3Too straight in line, it's worked fine down the leg side. Some good running between the wickets allows the batsmen to come back for the second.

  • 14.2Stays leg side and smacks it through the covers for a double.
  • 14.1FOUR! 9th Indian T20 League fifty for Kane Williamson! Like his partner, brings it up in some style. Length delivery cutting back in, Williamson goes leg side as he whips this behind square leg. Nobody out there in the deep and he'll pick up a boundary.
  • Trent Boult is back.
  • 13.6Whipped with the wrists through mid-wicket for a single. 49 in 36 now. Hyderabad in cruise control at the moment. 139/1
  • 13.5The ball is way outside the off stump, easy leave for the batsman.
  • 13.4Comes out and lofts it to long off. One run to the total.
  • 13.3Some width offered outside off, shorter in length, Dhawan cuts it behind point and comes back for the second.
  • 13.2FOUR! Dropped short and he pays the price for it. Short and angling in, Dhawan backs away, goes deep inside the crease and pulls it powerfully through square leg. No stopping that one. Hit too well.
  • 13.1Quicker and fuller on off, clipped to deep mid-wicket. Single to the scoreboard.
  • Glenn Maxwell into the attack. Can he get a breakthrough and break this partnership? Delhi desperately need it.
  • 12.6SIX! 18 off the over, this is massive for the away side. Nadeem stays brave and loops it up there, Dhawan throws his front leg out of the way and sends it travelling deep into the mid-wicket stands for a huge maximum. 130/1

  • 12.4Worked through the vacant spaces in the mid-wicket area again. A couple more.
  • 12.3Sliding in on off, Williamson moves inside the line and whips it through mid-wicket. Big gap out there, the batsmen come back for the second.
  • 12.2Full again, some flight on it, hit hard to long on for a single.
  • 12.1SIX! Smoked! Tossed up on off, Dhawan's eyes light up instantly and he lofts it over long on. A nice extension of the arms and he sends it sailing. Superb. The 100-run stand is up with this as well.
  • Shahbaz Nadeem back on.
  • 11.6Williamson makes his way out of his crease and hammers the length ball on off straight back down the ground. Maxwell at long on moves to his left, puts in a dive and keeps the ball from the rope. A brace is taken. 74 more needed off 48. 112/1

  • 11.4The short of length delivery has been cut away through square on the off side. They pick up a single.
  • 11.3FOUR! 30th Indian T20 League fifty for Shikhar Dhawan! What a way to bring it up too. He's finally come back to form, Hyderabad would love this. • 10.4Eases this full ball through mid off and calls his partner through.

  • 9.4Slower in pace, on a back of a length outside off, the pull is dragged through mid-wicket for one.
  • 9.3Better! Angles it in on middle and leg, the batsman gets a leading edge trying to work it on the leg side. It pops up but falls safely in front of mid off.

  • 9.1FOUR! That's a superb shot! Poor ball though, particularly with a leg side-heavy field. Beautiful shot though, had plenty still left to do. Full and wide outside off, Williamson drives it well through the left of mid off for a boundary.

  • Strategic break signalled.
  • 8.6FOUR! Shot! Makes good use of the feet, gets to the pitch of the ball and drills it straight back down the ground. Good timing from Dhawan, he beats the man in the deep. Hit it quite straight too, which was the key. Hyderabad need 108 to win off 11 overs. 80/1
