  • We come to the end of this exciting clash. Delhi got over the line and earn vital two points for themselves, lifting them to sixth place in the table. Rajasthan moves down to seventh place with this loss. Moving on, on the 3rd of May, we have Kolkata hosting Chennai at Eden Gardens. The action begins at 2000 local (1430 GMT), so do join in for that. See you folks then!
  • Rishabh Pant has been handed over the Man of the Match award for his scintillating knock in the first innings. His 69 off 29 was vital in his side getting to a daunting total, but more than that, it was the momentum his knock provided which swung the tide in his team's favour.
  • D'Arcy Short struggled a lot for the most part, but his onslaught in his fellow countryman's (Glenn Maxwell) over, where he scored three consecutive maximums, put the visitors back on track somewhat. Krishnappa Gowtham and Rahul Tripathi took it deep and tried to get their side over the line, but it just wasn't meant to be. Earlier in the evening, before the rain intervened, Delhi powered themselves close to 200 on the back of fine knocks from Prithvi Shaw, Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant. The revised target then came in and Delhi got the job done with the ball.
  • Phew! What a thrilling end to this rain-hit encounter. Went right down to the wire and Rajasthan almost got a victory out of the jaws of defeat. With the revised target, the away side needed 151 to win in 12 overs and Jos Buttler got them away to the perfect start. Scored a fifty in absolutely no time and put Rajasthan in a good position to clinch this. But, after his departure, the wickets kept falling and the asking rate crept up quite a lot.
  • 11.6He can't! Trent Boult holds his nerves. Been a terrific over from the Kiwi. Keeps it outside off on a full length, Gowtham lofts it over covers. Just the single and that's it. DELHI WIN BY 4 RUNS!
  • 11.5DROPPED and FOUR! Rajasthan can still win this. Need one big hit. Full and in the slot, Gowtham lofts it high over mid-wicket. Iyer out in the deep, gets under the ball, tries to take it but it goes through his hand. One bounce and over the rope. Six needed of the last ball! Can Gowtham put this away?
  • Jofra Archer is out to bat.
  • 11.4OUT! Tripathi is run out. All but over now? Surely? Or is there still a twist in the tale? Full outside off, Tripathi swings and misses and both batsmen once again take off for the run. Pant throws it back to Boult who takes the bails off at his end with ease.
  • 11.3Excellent delivery from Boult. Spears it full and wide outside off again, Gowtham swings and gets an inside edge behind. Tripathi runs and his partner responds. The run is completed.
  • 11.2Boult does well. Fires it full and wide outside off, away from Gowtham's arc who prefers the leg side. It's lofted over covers and two runs are taken as the men in the deep mop it up.
  • 11.1Good length ball on middle stump, Tripathi gets down on one knee and sweeps it through square leg. Wants the second, but will have to settle for just one.
  • 11.1Wide! Full and well outside off, Tripathi leaves it alone. It's across the tramline, so a wide is signalled.
  • Trent Boult to bowl the final over. He has 14 runs to defend.
  • 10.6SIX! Krishnappa Gowtham is keeping the fight alive! What a hit, my man. He picks up the length early, it's a little shorter in length, so he swivels and pulls it over mid-wicket and sends it sailing into the stands. 136/4
  • 10.5FOUR! Lucky runs but it's all the same. Short of a length, Gowtham swings and gets a top edge over the vacant slip cordon for a boundary.
  • 10.4Fullish outside off, Tripathi slaps it aerially towards long on and crosses over.
  • 10.3Not out! Cutter on middle and leg, coming in, Tripathi gets low to sweep but is hit on the pads. Big appeal goes up but the umpire says no. Plunkett runs in and takes the catch thinking there might be an inside edge. Rahul is out of the crease, so Liam looks to run him out but misses. Iyer wants to review, maybe thinking he can get his man here. Replays show there was no edge and the ball would have been missing leg stump.
  • Delhi use the review. Maybe for the lbw? Or the inside edge? Not sure. Both will be checked either way.
  • 10.2FOUR! Finds the fence. Excellent placement. Short ball angling in on the body, Tripathi with a little swivel pulls it over backward square leg for a boundary.
  • 10.1Slower length ball outside off, Tripathi swings and misses.
  • Liam Plunkett returns to the attack.
  • 9.6Cut towards short third man where Mishra makes a decent stop moving to his right. Single taken. 30 needed in 12. 121/4
  • 9.5Quicker and shorter on off, Tripathi gets low and drags the heave through mid-wicket. They run hard and come back for the second. Boult fires the throw at the bowler's end, when he should have gone the other way. Pant is furious.
  • Krishnappa Gowtham comes in next.
  • 9.4OUT! After a struggle, Short departs, but he's at least given his side a chance here. Full on the stumps, he tries to go on the leg side and clear mid-wicket. Gets a leading edge which spoons up at short third man. Avesh Khan there takes a simple catch.
  • 9.3SIX! Three in three! Well, well, well... Is this the over Rajasthan pull things back? Short ball outside off, Short camps back and smacks this over the wide long off fence for a maximum.
  • 9.2SIX! 12 in the first 2. Short finally finding his groove? Full and right in his arc, Short skips down and smokes it over long on for a flat biggie.
  • 9.1SIX! Perfect start to the over for Rajasthan. Short ball on middle, Short slogs it high and handsome over square leg for half a dozen.
  • Glenn Maxwell back on.
  • Rahul Tripathi to bat next.
  • 8.6OUT! Not Stokes' night tonight. Full toss on the stumps, Stokes has no option but to go big. Attempts to clear the mid-wicket fence but can only get it as far as Vijay Shankar in the deep who takes it safely. Rajasthan need 51 to win in 18 deliveries. 100/3
  • Stokes is caught out in the deep. Perhaps though, the full toss is a bit too high. The umpire wants to make sure and so, refers it upstairs.
  • 8.5Worked away through the square leg region. One run to the scoreboard. Team 100 up for the visitors.
  • 8.4FOUR! Off the edge but it's a much-needed one. Full on leg, Short swings and inside edges it past the leg stump, then the keeper, away to the fine leg fence for a boundary.
  • 8.3Yorker swinging on the stumps, Stokes backs away, shows all three stumps and drills it to long off for one run.
  • 8.3Wide! Full and wide, down the leg side, Stokes flicks and misses.
  • 8.2Full delivery angling in on the pads, Stokes is off the mark with a flick through backward square leg. The fielder in the deep mops it up and keeps the batsmen to just one.
  • Ben Stokes will be the new man in.
  • 8.1OUT! Trent Boult removes the dangerous Sanju Samson. Comes from around the wicket and bowls a cutter on middle and leg, Samson lofts it over mid-wicket. Lot of height, clearly not enough distance. Colin Munro comes running in from the deep and takes a superb catch. It was swirling in the air, needed to judge it well. Nicely done.
  • Trent Boult is back.
  • 7.6SIX! Finally.... finally connects one! Full and on leg, Short clears his front leg and then smokes it over mid-wicket for a biggie. Is this the shot that lets him cut loose? 59 in 24. 92/1
  • 7.5What is Short doing here? Doing too much. Way down the leg side, he backs away such a long way. Needed to connect after that but couldn't. Off the pads and it's a dot ball.
  • 7.4Good over so far from Plunkett. Fuller outside off, Samson mistimes the shot down to long on. One run to the total.
  • 7.3Takes the pace off this one, keeps it close to off on a length. Sanju Samson swings across the line, but can't connect as it goes under his bat.
  • 7.2Length delivery on middle and leg, D'Arcy slogs it to deep mid-wicket. One run taken.
  • 7.1Just ahead of a length, Samson hits it through wide mid on for a run. The batsmen want the second, but then decide against it.
  • Liam Plunkett brought back into the attack.
  • 6.6Spinning in on leg, Short sweeps it straight to short fine leg. Dot ball. Excellent over from Mishra comes to an end. Rajasthan need 68 more in 30 balls. 83/1
  • 6.5Off the mark instantly. Leg break on off, Samson drives it sweetly to wide long off for a single.
  • Sanju Samson walks into the middle next. He's going to have to start firing from the get-go. No time to waste.
  • 6.4OUT! GONE! Mishra gets the all-important breakthrough. Buttler steps out to go big again, swings hard but misses as Mishra just holds the length back a touch. Past his bat and Pant does the rest. A fiery knock from Buttler comes to an end.
  • 6.3Smacks this down the ground, to long on for a single.
  • 6.2Probably his first mistimed shot tonight. Looks to cut this away, but only manages to get it through covers for one.
  • 6.1Slower through the air in line of the stumps, Short does the sensible thing by pushing it to long off and giving Buttler, the man who's middling everything, the strike.
  • 5.6Swing and a miss. Slower one outside off, Buttler swings and misses. 72 to win in 36. 79/0
  • 5.5SIX! That's gone a llloooooonnnngggggg waaaaaayyyyyy!!!!! Bang! Right off the meat. Back of a length, Buttler throws his front leg out of the way and muscles the pull over the mid-wicket boundary. Right into the stands.
  • 5.4Short of a length on leg, Short can't connect cleanly. Mistimes the heave to mid-wicket and brings Buttler on strike. He's struggling here, the Aussie. Can't get his shots away.
  • 5.3This is good fielding placement from Shreyas Iyer. Kept fine leg very fine. Length ball on middle and leg, Jos makes room and looks to force it through the off side, but gets an inside edge past the leg stump. Just a single.
  • 5.2FOUR! It's raining boundaries via Jos Buttler's bat. Full toss on leg, Buttler backs away a little bit and then off the inner half, slogs it through backward square leg for a boundary. Knew where the fielders were, executed the shot to perfection.
  • 5.1Full toss on middle and off, hit through the gap in the covers for one run.
  • Avesh Khan into the attack now.
  • 4.6Driven through mid on by the batsman. They pick up a single. 66/0
  • 4.5The wrong 'un once again, outside off, Short fails to connect with the reverse sweep.
  • 4.4Googly around off, Short taps it down on the off side. Buttler wanted the run, but couldn't get it.
  • 4.3Leans ahead and knocks it through mid on for a single.
  • 4.2Quicker, shorter and down leg, Buttler premeditates the reverse sweep once more, but misses.
  • 4.1SIX! Welcomes Mishra with a maximum. 2nd Indian T20 League fifty for Jos Buttler. It's the fastest for Rajasthan overall in this League. Loopy full toss on the stumps, Buttler premeditates the reverse sweep and launches it over deep backward point. The move to send him up the order is paying dividends.
  • Amit Mishra to roll his arm over.
  • 3.6Good end to the over. Plunkett fools him with a slower bumper, Short can't pick up and hence can't do anything about it. 93 to win off 48. 58/0
  • 3.5Forces this one through the cover area and rushes to get to the other end.
  • 3.4FOUR! Unlucky that's gone all the way. Nice attempt from Rishabh Pant. Buttler makes room and Plunkett follows him with a short ball. Jos pulls, gets it off the glove and past the diving keeper for a boundary.
  • 3.3Short into the body, Short pulls it just wide of short fine leg and brings Buttler back on strike.
  • 3.2Another slower one, on a shorter length on off, Buttler pulls it to square leg and gets off strike.
  • 3.1SIX! Doesn't matter who comes on to bowl, Buttler is smashing it. Just smashing it. Full and slower on off, he lofts it cleanly over extra cover. Seemed like he miscued it initially, but it still had enough to clear the boundary line.
  • Liam Plunkett comes on to bowl.
  • 2.623 off the over. Buttler is taking the attack to the Delhi bowlers. Pushes this to the point region and crosses over for a single. 106 in 54 needed. 45/0
  • 2.5FOUR! Finds the gap! Clever batting, this. Short and wide, Buttler flashes and flashes hard between point and cover-point for a boundary.
  • 2.4SIX! Third of the over! Take a bow, Jos Buttler! Showing no mercy. Just behind a length around off, Buttler swings hard across the line and heaves it over the mid-wicket fence for a biggie.
  • 2.3Good comeback. Khan takes the pace off this one and bowls a length ball outside off, Buttler swings and misses.
  • 2.2SIX! 12 off the first 2 balls. This is unreal batting from the Englishman. Length delivery outside off, Buttler shuffles a long way across and scoops it over short fine leg for a biggie.
  • 2.1SIX! Stand and deliver stuff from Jos Buttler! Full and right in the slot, Buttler stands tall and hammers it over long on for a maximum.
  • Avesh Khan brought on to bowl.
  • 1.6NOT OUT! Short survives! Good decision, at least he realizes where it's gone off from. Back of a length going down leg, D'Arcy looks to help the pull over short to fine leg but there's a noise as the ball goes past him behind to the keeper. Loud shout and the finger goes up. Short reviews and the replays show that it went off the elbow. 22/0
  • Short is given out caught behind and immediately reviews indicating he got it off the elbow. Is it the case? Or is it another Maxwell-like review? Let's wait and watch...
  • 1.5Tucks him up with a tight line. Buttler backs away and punches it through covers for one.
  • 1.5Wide! Boult pounds in another short one but it's too short this time. Buttler can't connect as he makes room for the pull. Wide called.
  • 1.4Banged in short, quite sharp and accurate. Too good for Buttler to make connection.
  • 1.3Clips this towards the short mid-wicket fielder. Both batsmen set off, there's a shy at the bowler's end which misses. Quick run completed.
  • 1.2FOUR! Bit of extra pace on the ball, D'Arcy Short loves it and punishes that. Full outside off, he creams the drive past the diving mid off fielder for a boundary.
  • 1.1Slanting across on a good length, Buttler hangs back and offers a firm punch through extra cover for a run.
  • Trent Boult to bowl from the other end.
  • 0.6One more delivery full in length, Buttler tries to sweep and gets it to short fine leg. Single off the last ball and that's 14 off the over. Good start from Rajasthan. 14/0
  • 0.5SIX! A maximum to follow the boundary. This is excellent batting from Jos Buttler. Tossed up, he kneels down and sweeps it cleanly over backward square leg.
  • 0.4FOUR! Straight over the bowler's head, minimum risk in that area. Fuller and flatter on the stumps, Buttler takes a step out and lofts it back down the ground. Not the best of connections, but it's enough to get to the rope.
  • 0.3Outside off, on the shorter side again, punched off the back foot through the mid-wicket area for a run.
  • 0.2Arm ball on leg, coming in with the angle, Buttler goes back to flick but misses and is hit on the pads. It lobs over on the off side and a leg bye is stolen.
  • 0.1Shorter in length, spinning in from outside off, Short goes deep inside the crease and pushes it to the left of the bowler for a quick single.
  • We are back for the run chase. It will be D'Arcy Short and Jos Buttler to open the innings. Smart move, given Rajasthan have to go bang bang from ball one. Shahbaz Nadeem will have the new ball first up. Here we go...
