  • Man of the Match, Kedar Jadhav feels he's on top of his game and credits his fitness level for the same. On big hits, he agrees that at the age of 15 he just managed to clear the 30 yards but the moment he got power the ball started to travel over the fence. Accepts he is a short guy but opines that he gives cent percent attention to his fitness and gym. Makes a huge statement by saying he wants to take the responsibility when the top players in the side are out injured.
  • Bangalore skipper, Shane Watson is really happy with the win. Straightaway praises Kedar Jadhav for the way he batted but feels they were below par. Continues saying the energy showed by his team was something they need to carry on. On the wicket, he adds it seemed to be a bit slow tonight. Emphases that this is such a format where momentum matters as the tides can turn in seconds. On giving Negi the final over, he informs that it was his gut feeling which made him toss the ball towards Negi. Adds Pant had not seem him tonight and hence the decision. Is really delighted that the gamble worked wonders for them. Ends by praising Chahal for bowling so well under pressure and admits he's one of the finest bowler for his side. On the news about the fitness of their key players, he chuckles and says they'll be back in the next game.
  • Delhi skipper, Zaheer Khan says 8/10 times they could have got this total but just unfortunate today. Admits wickets falling at regular intervals was the reason for their downfall. Thinks the partnerships didn't get going, they needed to spend some time in the middle which they weren't able to and that was their undoing. Credits Rishabh Pant for battling the way he did after the death of his father and says everybody has supported him. Mentions they have a good balance of spinners and pace bowlers so is happy for Shahbaz Nadeem that he got a game today. Is humble in knowing that it's a process which takes time but is happy with what they've got. Wants to just do better in the upcoming matches and kick on from there.
  • A lot of credit has to be given to Shane Watson. To bring on Pawan Negi, who's not bowled all evening, to bowl the last over of the innings, against an in-form Rishabh Pant, was a bold move. It paid dividends as the spinner got two wickets and gave away just 3 wickets in it. Bangalore will be happy with their bowling, as they fared quite well given they didn't have a good enough score on the board. Earlier in the evening, Bangalore reached a score of 150-plus on the back of an explosive fifty from Kedar Jadhav which helped them post a fighting total on the board.
  • Chasing a target of 158, Delhi got off to a decent start but then just crumbled with wickets falling at regular intervals. Rishabh Pant, however, played a gem of a knock as he scored a fifty. At one stage, the visitors need 37 off 24 and were still very much in the hunt, but a reckless approach from Amit Mishra at that time saw balls being consumed and things getting very difficult. The pressure kept mounting and it proved to be too much for Pant to do anything about it.
  • A highly entertaining contest. Some good bowling, a fighting knock from young Rishabh Pant, a brain fade from Amit Mishra and some smart captaincy at the death has seen Bangalore clinch an amazing victory at the Chinnaswamy. The crowd has something to cheer about as Bangalore have their first win of the tournament.
  • 19.6That's it, BANGALORE WIN BY 15 RUNS AND HOW! Mishra dances down the track and connects one when it doesn't matter. The ball rolls towards long on for one. Watson is all smiles, Negi earns the limelight on what turned out to be an epic game of cricket.
  • 19.5Loopy delivery around middle, Zaheer hits it down to long on for a single.
  • 19.4Tossed up around middle, slogged across the line towards mid-wicket for a single.
  • Zaheer Khan is the new man in!
  • 19.3OUT! Negi has another! Loopy delivery around middle, Nadeem looks to slog it across the line but gets a top edge towards mid-wicket. The bowler runs to his right and swallows it all by himself. What a stunning move here from the home side. No body can stop them from winning this battle now.
  • 19.2Safe! Tossed up around off, turning away a bit as Nadeem looks to heave it. The keeper collects the ball and whips the bails off. Is Nadeem's leg in the air is the question. They take it upstairs and replays show the batsman manages to drag his foot behind.
  • A stumping appeal against Shahbaz Nadeem is being referred upstairs by the umpire.
  • Shahbaz Nadeem is the next batsman in.
  • 19.1OUT! Bowled 'em! Pawan Negi has delivered it on the very first ball! Is that the game? Should be! Fires it down the leg side, Pant gets down and across to play the slog sweep but misses it completely and the leg stump it uprooted. The crowd keeps chanting RCB! RCB! RCB! Rishabh Pant walks back and would be disappointed to not help his team cross the line.
  • Pawan Negi will be the one to bowl the final over. He has not bowled a single over in the innings. Big moment for him to come in at the most crucial stage of the match. 19 runs needed to win for Delhi. All their hopes lie on Rishabh Pant. Are we in for a twist?
  • 18.6This time Mishra looks to play the paddle scoop but fails to connect it yet again. This is really tough for Delhi now but nothing to take away from Watson. Such a brilliant over, just 2 off it! 139/7
  • 18.5Another swing and a miss! Mishra is trying to clear Chinnaswamy here! Fuller in length, in the line of the stumps, Mishra swings it across the line only to meet the thin Bangalore air. Another dot ball, which keeps hurting Delhi but gets the crowd going.
  • 18.4Shortish outside off, Mishra slashes and gets beaten once more. What an over from the skipper, he's bowling so well.
  • 18.3Good length ball on off, Pant drills it down to long on. Binny cuts it off in the deep and keeps them down to just a single. This won't help Delhi.
  • 18.2A shout for LBW! Angles in a length delivery on middle, Mishra hops to flick but misses as the ball goes off the pads towards the off side. An appeal is made but the umpire turns it down. It's given as a run so maybe there was an inside edge. Replays show there was no bat involved. Lucky shave for Mishra!
  • 18.1Swing and a miss! But Mishra doesn't need to be a hero here. Just tap and give the strike to Pant. Fuller in length and around off, Mishra wildly swings at it and to no surprise he gets beaten.
  • 17.6SIX! In the air... and above the fence! Slower short ball on middle, seems Pant anticipated it. Swivels and pulls it over fine leg for half a dozen. A much-needed strike that and this will keep Delhi on the edge of their seats. 21 needed from 12 balls! 137/7
  • 17.5Back of a length on middle, tucked through backward square leg for a single.
  • 17.4What was that? It was a back-of-the-hand slower delivery from Mills, it rises off the deck and Mishra has no clue about it. He tries to take the evasive action with his right hand as the ball dies down. Watson complains to the umpire but no action taken.
  • 2nd Indian T20 League fifty for Rishabh Pant!
  • 17.3Very full and sprayed outside off, Pant gets low and flat-bats it towards mid on for a single. Reaches his fifty, he's played amazingly well but the job isn't done yet.
  • 17.2Shortish and angling in, Mishra tucks it towards short mid-wicket and sets off. Pant and the bowler collide as there is a shy at the striker's end but it doesn't hit. One run taken.
  • 17.1Short of a length delivery outside off, Mishra arches back and ramps it towards third man. A double taken.
  • Tymal Mills is chosen by Shane Watson to bowl the 18th over. Delhi need 32 off 18.
  • 16.6Beaten! Angles it away from the southpaw who opts for a wild swing but the ball whizzes past the outside edge to Vinod behind. Excellent over from the skipper, just 5 runs and a wicket off it! 126/7
  • 16.5Mishra stays leg side and forces it through the left of Gayle at point for a single.
  • 16.4On a length and slightly outside off, Mishra cuts it straight to Gayle at point.
  • 16.3Good length ball outside off, defended towards the off side.
  • Amit Mishra makes his way into the middle. The visiting side needs 33 off 23.
  • 16.2OUT! Dragged on! Watson with his right hand up gets the crowd right behind him. Hurls in a length delivery, angling in, Cummins looks to hit it over the top but gets a faint inside edge onto the stumps. We surely have a game on our hands.
  • 16.1FOUR! That's a rubbish delivery and Cummins doesn't miss out! A gift down the leg side, Pat gets across and helps it over the short fine leg fielder for a boundary. This should take some pressure off Pant.
  • Shane Watson brings himself back on to bowl.
  • Time Out! This could be anybody's game from hereon! Delhi will be pinning their hopes on Pant and Bangalore would feel if they can remove him, it could be the final nail in the coffin. 37 needed from 24 balls, a cracking finish beckons.
  • 15.6Fuller and angling in, it's dragged off the inner half towards mid on for a single. 121/6
  • 15.5Shortish outside off, Cummins stays back and cuts it towards the point fielder. They look for a single but won't get it.
  • 15.4Back of a length outside off, Pant steers it through point for a single. On 49 now!
  • 15.3Overpitches it around off, Cummins squeezes it out towards cover-point and gets off the mark.
  • 15.2Touch short on middle, pulled to deep mid-wicket for a single.
  • 15.1FOUR! Pant is going along nicely! Fuller in length and angling in, Pant walks across and flicks it uppishly over mid-wicket to find the fence. What a start to the over for Delhi!
  • Tymal Mills will have another go with the ball. Can he pick up a wicket in this over?
  • 14.6Another shout for LBW! Full around middle and leg, Cummins misses it completely and is rapped on the pads. The players appeal long and hard but nothing from the umpire. Replays showed there was an inside edge. Chahal ends his spell with figures of 4-0-19-1! 113/6
  • Pat Cummins is the next batsman in for the visitors. They need 45 off 31 to win this game.
  • 14.5OUT! Chahal doesn't need approval from the umpire this time! Carlos Brathwaite has to walk. Floated around middle, Carlos gets down to slog it but misses it and the ball goes on to disturb the woodwork behind. Look at Chahal, he's unstoppable at the moment. The Bangalore crowd erupts.
  • 14.4A crying appeal for an LBW, turned down! Looked really close! A slider around middle, skidding through the surface as Brathwaite goes back to work it on the leg side. Misses and is hit on the pads. A loud appeal from Chahal but the umpire stays unmoved.
  • 14.3Almost a return catch! Chahal bowls it around middle, Pant hammers it down the ground back to the bowler who gets a hand on it and then it bursts out, hits his legs and deflects further. A single taken but surely a chance goes down abegging. The ball didn't miss the non-striker's end by much, would have been gone had that hit.
  • 14.2Flat and full outside off, Pant feels to go after it but then leaves it alone.
  • 14.1Short and outside off, punched off the back foot towards the cover-point fielder.
  • Yuzvendra Chahal to bowl out now.
  • 13.6Too straight, and too easy for Rishabh Pant to flick it behind square leg. He jogs to the other end and will retain strike. 112/5
  • 13.5Coming into the body on a short length, pulled along the ground through square leg for a run.
  • 13.4Full ball from Watson, Brathwaite stays deep inside the crease, waits for it and keeps it out off the back foot.
  • 13.3Bumper angling down a little, Brathwaite ducks and evades.
  • 13.2Back of a length around off, Pant does not middle this. Gets it off the inner half through the gap in the mid-wicket area for a single.
  • 13.1Fires it full on the pads, flicks it through backward square leg. Some hard running earns him a couple of runs on that occasion.
  • Carlos Brathwaite is the new man in!
  • 12.6OUT! Bangalore strike. A wicket at a crucial stage. Iqbal Abdulla has made things really interesting here. He bowls a quicker one on middle, skids off the surface a bit too and raps Morris flush in front of the stumps. The umpire doesn't have to think twice to raise his finger to the lbw appeal. Delhi need 51 to win off 42 deliveries. 107/5
  • 12.5The batsman rocks onto the back foot and punches the ball. One run added to the total.
  • 12.5Wide! It's way down the leg side, Pant looks to flick but misses and it's been called a wide.
  • 12.4Outside off, short and flat, Pant covers the line and leaves it alone.
  • 12.3SIX! THAT'S A HUMONGOUS HIT! Rishabh Pant is playing amazingly well here. He gets low to this tossed up ball and smokes it lightyears into the long on stands for a huge maximum.
  • 12.2FOUR! Outside off on a flatter trajectory, Pant adjusts well inside the crease and cuts it away through the point region for a boundary.
  • 12.1On a flatter trajectory, turning a bit on middle and leg, Morris goes back and flicks it on the leg side for a single.
  • Iqbal Abdulla is asked to roll his arm over once again!
  • 11.6Seaming in on middle and leg, clipped in front of square on the leg side by Chris Morris for a run. 94/4
  • 11.5Outside off, on a fuller length, it's driven square of the wicket on the off side for a single.
  • 11.4On the fuller side of things, driven past the left of the bowler for no run.
  • 11.3SIX! That was a difficult chance, technically a dropped chance but a good effort. Watson brings out the short one out of nowhere and bowls it on middle and leg, hurries on to Pant who is in no control of the pull shot. Gets a big top edge which flies towards the square leg rope. Binny out there leaps and gets a hand to it but it's just a little too high for him to hold on. Over the ropes and that's a biggie.
  • 11.2Just ahead of a length, around off, Pant drives it to the left of Watson who does well to stop it.
  • 11.1Fuller length delivery on middle and leg, Morris picks it off his pads and flicks it behind square leg for an easy single.
  • Shane Watson finally brings himself into the attack! He was taken apart in the opening encounter, can he redeem himself tonight?
  • 10.6Fractionally straight from Billy, it's on the pads, flicked away through to deep mid-wicket for a single. 85/4
  • Chris Morris is the new man in!
  • 10.5OUT! Sanju Samson is out of here. Tried to dominate the bowler and his failure to do so has cost him. Back of a length on off, Samson stands his ground and mistimes his pull shot. It lobs towards Binny at long on who takes the easiest of catches. Another one bites the dust, Delhi still need 74 off 55.
  • 10.4Full from Billy, driven to mid on.
  • 10.3FOUR! Mills with a horrendous spill. Shortish in length, outside off, Samson cuts it down to third man. It's right to Tymal but he somehow manages to let it through him. Slips right between his palms and goes across the rope. Poor.
  • 10.2Back of a length on middle and off, pulled away along the ground in front of square for two good runs.
  • 10.1Good length delivery on middle and leg, a bit too straight at the southpaw blocks it back down the track.
  • Billy Stanlake is reintroduced into the attack!

  • 9.5Angling in on middle and leg, on a length, clipped through square leg by Pant for a double.
  • 9.4FOUR! Short and angling in, Pant pulls it away through backward square leg. The fine leg fielder attempts to cut it off but it's too good for him. It goes across the rope for a boundary.
  • 9.3Over the wicket again, Mills hits the deck hard and bangs it in short, Pant looks to ramp it over the keeper's head but misses.
  • 9.2From around the wicket now, a back of a length delivery angling in from around off, Samson hangs his bat out to it but gets an inside edge towards square leg for one run.
  • 9.1Full delivery on off, Pant leans across and works it towards mid on for a quick single.

  • 8.2Full again, outside off, Pant gets low and drags it down towards long on. Takes a single for doing so.

  • 7.6Wide! Fires this well outside off, wide called.

  • 6.1Tosses it up nicely on off, eased back down to long off for a single.
  • Yuzvendra Chahal is back on!

  • 5.5Billings looks to flick it across the line but gets a leading edge wide of the bowler. A single taken.
  • 5.4Another good effort from Yuzvendra Chahal. He's looked lively out in the field today. Billy angles in a full ball on middle and leg, Samson flicks it through square leg. The Bangalore leggie runs behind the ball and slides to just keep it inside the rope. Saves a run for his side.
  • Sanju Samson is the next batsman in, replacing Nair!
  • 5.3OUT! Another one who's bowled! Stanlake with another venomous delivery and this time he's struck gold. Bowls it straight on off and Karun Nair is just purely beaten for pace here. • Karun Nair is the next man in, replacing Tare!
  • 4.4OUT! BOWLED 'EM! Mills strikes in his very first over. Angles in a length ball on off, Tare with an angled bat looks to cut it away but misses. Wrong choice of shot honestly, it's coming in and always dangerous to play that. It rattles the off pole and the Delhi opener is out of here. First breakthrough for Bangalore.

  • Yuzvendra Chahal will bowl from the other end.
