  • Right then. India have topped Group B. They will play the team finishing second from Group A, on Friday, November 2018 at 0000 GMT (8 pm local, previous night) while 4 hours prior, Australia will meet the number 1 team from that group. Like this group, that side too has its top 2 teams decided in England and Windies, but just the ordering needs to be done. Join us then on semi-finals' day. ADIOS! TAKE CARE!
  • Victorious Indian captain, Harmanpreet Kaur smiles. Wow. Repeat. Kaur smiles. She seems to be really happy and credits the team for stepping up against a good opposition. Agrees that the unit worked really hard on their fielding over the last 2 days and she is proud of what she saw today. Is happy that Mandhana played a big knock and about the hat going on during their partnership, Harmanpreet says that she was just egging her on to keep going.
  • Australian skipper, Meg Lanning, says that Alyssa Healy is okay and hopes that she will be back for the semis. On the tactic about bringing spin early while bowling, Meg says that as an afterthought, it might seem as a wrong choice but at that point of time, she thought that taking pace off the ball might have been a good option, but it did not prove to be so. Admits that the loss here has shown that they have got a lot of work to do before the semi-final.
  • SMRITI MANDHANA HAS BEEN NAMED THE PLAYER OF THE MATCH. Says that she is quite relieved after she failed to convert her starts in the previous matches. On the review being forced by Veda Krishnamurthy after she was given out, Smriti says that whenever the ball hits her pads, she feels it is out. Credits Krishnamurthy for that as India managed to get another 20-30 runs. On comparing the wins against New Zealand and Australia, Mandhana says that both are different performances - stresses further by saying here, the bowling and fielding were excellent while against New Zealand, the batting was better.
  • Australia have been caught napping. They came into this tournament with high hopes and even though not everything is lost for them, plenty of chinks have been exposed in their armour by this one game. While bowling, their bowlers were forced to bowl bad lines by being put under severe pressure and during batting, they simply could not read spin. Only Ellyse Perry played an innings of some substance in an otherwise lopsided contest. Stay tuned for the presentation...
  • Out of 6 bowlers used, 5 were spinners. 4 of those took wickets, with combined figures of 15.4-0-80-9. Wow. Simply outstanding. The plans were pretty clear - bowl wider outside off and pack the off side, making the batters go across the line and put that extra effort.
  • Normally, in Guyana, it is pretty difficult to chase anything above 150 and the Indian bowling attack ensured that the stat does not change. Australia started off confidently, scoring at run-a-ball in the first 4 overs but then Villani's wicket opened the floodgates. The spinners ran riot as the Women In Yellow simply could not string partnerships.
  • Unbelievable, should one say? Well, to be honest, not really. Australia have got a good team but they have not played at their best in this tournament. They have a few weaknesses and all of those were exposed by India here.
  • 19.4OUT! Easy stumping and INDIA WIN BY 48 RUNS! Full and outside off, thrown up a bit wide, Vlaeminck comes down the track but is nowhere near the pitch of the ball. Bhatia does the rest.
  • 19.3Outside off, a cut shot missed.
  • 19.2Full and outside off, driven through the covers for a single.
  • Debutant Tyla Vlaeminck comes out to face the hat-trick ball.
  • 19.1OUT! Caught by Bhatia. Number 8 falls. India have 5 deliveries to bowl Australia out. Not that it makes a difference but it will be a massive statement. Full and outside off, Schutt attempts a massive pull but only gets a top edge. The keeper goes across to her left and takes it.
  • Anuja Patil to bowl the final over.

  • 17.4OUT! That is an outstanding catch! Radha Yadav, take a bow. Full and outside off, Kimmince gets down and looks to slog but gets a top edge. The ball goes high in the air but not long. In fact, three fielders come in contention - the bowler, short mid-wicket and long on. The ball is in danger of landing in between but the bowler takes the call, runs back, keeps her eyes on the ball and dives forward to take the catch! Is pumped up, really! India badly want this win to finish on top. This is a big statement.

  • 15.5IN THE AIR... FOUR! Just picked it slightly late, Arundhati Reddy. A short ball, around middle, Molineux gets across and pulls it over mid-wicket. Reddy is not sure whether to go for the catch or stay back and protect the boundary and in the end, is a touch late in going for the former. Misses it and the ball bounces in front of her and goes behind.

  • 6.6NOT OUT. Missing leg. Can't say that was the worst of reviews though. Landed outside off, spinning in sharply, Lanning goes back to run it down to third man but misses. Is hit on the pads and the keeper goes up straightaway but the bowler was not that confident. Kaur though, went for the review. Hawk Eye projected it to be spinning down. A leg bye was taken. 44/2
